Deep sea cyborg whales and dolphins lazily, druggedly signal each other ... immediately adrift, one's ears are the path to the soul snagged by the siren of sound manipulation ... lullingness gives way to soft sounds of pain, if torture was muddled, relaxed, designed for your chillout ... is some gremlin vocalizing while time distorts down to slow around utterances of pain ... one slowly becomes aware of the feel of life in all its forms coming to you distorted through a veil of soft static atmosphere ... strange and interesting drifts of texture, some recognizable in a warp of its former earth life, some a soundscape of interdimensional noise transfer. Subdued but intimidating at times.

Static pulse, hollow satellite song, behold musicality of anotehr universe or lifetime, let yourself sleep and bear witness to the new state of being, dark it is but calling your name, don't be afraid to sleep to new lullabies. Overall quiet, a sound-noisescape weaving iwth stretches of subtle musicality and fiddled-with samples. This are a kind of experimental musings I can float in. It's got more edge than some softer noise/experimental but for those not afraid of the dark (since dark=evil is NOT true ...) can find rest here for a time. Be adrift, let the combined forces of Dogsimada and Marufura Fufunjiru work their strange magic on you. The beauty is how it's done. Dogsimada's work fills the left channel and M.F. takes the right channel. The result is a unique approach to achieving a layered work of fairly chilled avant garde.

One of the things that I enjoy most doing, is listening to the attempts of musicians to create a different, and interesting atmosphere. That becomes harder throughout the years, why? You ask? Well, we, as human beings, aspire for more, and that results in an effort to create new things, or re-invent existing things, so we wont repeat ourselves or step into certain rubrics or Paradigms. So we’re constantly on a quest to renew and experiment. Some of which is expressed in propitiation of the moment, and some in simple forward thinking, I would define a musician as something of a chemist, trying to combine different molecules, and different ingredients in creating now compound, which has all-new characteristics, such color, odor, and flavor. The avant-garde musician I would define as an alchemist, using materials that seem or may be defined as worthless or incomprehensible, turning them into a new, interesting musical product, with real worth and importance. On many occasions such artists use minimalist or extremely complex album covers, In this came I came across such an interesting album that too many descriptions will only do it injustice- The album is extremely experimental and unique, using a concept that is the broadest sense of the definition of the stereophonic dimension, The sounds that come through the right speaker exist there only, and the sound from the left just in it.
What’s new? You ask?
Well, this is a split album of two experimental music artists: Dogsimada and marufura fufunjiru, both highly respected for their unique, uncompromising music. Here they joined forces in order to create an album which will contain both their compositions when played in unison, in full synchronicity, thus creating an amazing piece of music, Dogsimada is played in the left channel while Marufura is played in the right. An truly spectacular symbiosis between the two artists is created, dissimilar to any split album ever created, each artist actually playing a complete album on one side of the stereo.. The pieces themselves move from very noisy power noise to relaxed dark ambient and some drone bits as well. Describing the thing is extremely difficult, there’s no substitute to listening to the thing. Take my advice, listen to this, its hard to remain oblivious to it, its both interesting and challenging.

On "Fragile":
Marufura Funfunjira from Graz, Austria is the founder of the record label Chmafu nocords. This CD, Fragile, is his third solo album and was released on the Japanese label Neus-318. This unusual CD starts off with the track fragile, a warm overtone sound later accompanied by a heavy but pure drone that throbs as little drips of digital noise splatter the soundscape. This later turns from a calm warm feeling into a raw quiet crackle and is then developed into a rougher, darker soundworld dominated by what sounds like a reverberant muted trombone burst. It gives the impression of moving from a warm sunny day into a dark rain soaked one. The rain delicately eases off leaving a glimpse of other sounds blotting in and out. Other tracks on the CD tend to evoke an overall otherworldly feeling of eerie electronic soundscapes such as in track two, widerstand gegen die staatsgewalt (taten), where a constantly moving sound which almost sounds like a windstorm from a distance with added electronic high frequencies for good measure. Unusual deep noises appear in and out of the background and as the piece develops it becomes more and more alien and distorted. Maybe this guy really is from Venus. Track 04, a group is less than the sum of its parts, is beautifully simple and consists of occasional blurts of delicate digital sounds surrounded by a shroud of silence. This idea is continued in the last track, caged hopes, although there is a repetitive sound in the background and an incredibly subtle beat blip running through giving it some sense of structure. It almost sounds like some lost signalling on a radio. A very quiet and beautifully subtle form of communication.
