The Beauty And The Dolls is that little girl sitting in a dark corner, sewing someone's (her own?) mouth shut.
On this album maru invites you to follow him to his ride through hell
and heaven. He swishes through heavily distorted areas punctuated by
irregular beats (the heart oh so shocked),
slumps into clusters of mold, hears voices (the sacred name of
love), bounces through screams and screeches and rots into a pile of
anxiety and fear,
just to be pushed away and smashed on the floor by the ghosts of his past.
So don't fear - maru is alive.

marus cd "The
Review by Hans Kulisch of skug
One of the DVD boxes released by the Austrian Chmafu Nocords comes from Maru. Just like the front cover, featuring a man sitting in the snow, dressed in pink woman's clothes, this CD is far from ordinary. Opening with an ambient piece, the album gets rougher each track. A heavy guitar and drums can be heard in the second track, to be followed by harsh guitar feedback. Halfway the album, things get more electronic again, but always in a robust and direct way. The noise created on this CD is far from pleasant, neither elegant. It's primair and therefore hard to digest.
